  My wife and I recently bought a new house, and we want to rent a water softener. Two weeks ago she set up an initial appointment to meet with an installer to check our water, determine system size, etc. She waited all afternoon, but no knock at the door and no phone call. She finally called and was told the tech came, but nobody was home. Not true.
  
  I called a couple of days later and scheduled an appointment to try again today. I took the day off to make sure I could be around all day. I even spent the day working in the garage so that I'd be sure to see if anyone came. An hour after the appointment time I still hadn't heard anything, so I called. I was told the previous job had likely run over, and that they'd call the tech to see how things were going.
  
  3 hours later... still no tech, and no phone call. I called back and was told that when they had called the tech earlier, he said I wasn't on his schedule. He said my appointment was last week, and that he had again showed up and nobody was home. That didn't make sense to me, as I had entered the appointment in my calendar as it was being made. I even verified the date and time before hanging up as they had already missed the first appointment.
  
  Why didn't I get a call either time they supposedly came to our house? Why didn't I at least get a call after the tech told them i wasn't on his schedule?
  
  I asked those questions, and was told they don't call. They show up at the time if the appointment and expect me to be responsible enough to do the same...
  
  I'm so frustrated. We've reached out to a competing company, and I encourage everyone who reads this to do the same. Your time is too valuable to deal with companies that dont care about customer service.
